Building on its 26-year legacy, BTS 2024 will offer a unified platform for the entire tech ecosystem including communities, nations and industries, as well as enablers in Government, Academia and R&D; to find collective technology solutions for the world.

ORGANISERS

  1. Government of Karnataka
    Karnataka is globally recognized as the Information Technology (IT), Biotechnology (Bt), Research and Development (R&D) and Start-Up capital of the country with Bengaluru being recognised as the world’s most dynamic city and India’s Silicon Valley of east.Karnataka has historically been a hub for technology and R&D based institutions in India and boasts of adequate infrastructure to support its vision. The Department of Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T through its innovative initiatives has been promoting Karnataka making it the most preferred destination for frontier technologies and has created a conducive environment for Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T related industries. Karnataka is the first state to draft its own IT, Biotech, ESDM, AVGC and Start-up policy and has set up 9 CoEs, incubation & learning centres.
  2. Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS)
    Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS) helps the Department of Information Technology and Biotechnology in facilitating and promoting the Information Technology and Biotech sectors in the state. KITS acts as a synergic liaison between Industry and Government, providing secretarial services to the State IT and Bt projects, making it the linchpin for providing all basic information that facilitates the establishment of IT & Bt Industries in the State. It is the nodal agency for implementing the decisions of the Vision Group on IT and the Vision Group on Bt.KITS also focuses on tapping Karnataka’s large IT talent pool, functioning as a key driver for augmenting foreign investments and collaborations, to enhance skill development, mutual industry facilitation and encourage startups and MSMEs.
  3. Software Technology Parks of India (STPI)
    Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has played a seminal role in establishing India as an Information Technology superpower. STPI is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Govt. of India. It is conceived with the distinct objective of encouraging, promoting and boosting software exports from India and maintains internal engineering resources to provide consulting, training, and implementation services.Additionally, STPI also helps setup and manage infrastructural facilities. From time to time, efforts are made to provide statutory and other promotional services to exporters by implementing the Software Technology Parks (STP), Electronics and Hardware Technology Parks (EHTP) Schemes and SEZ schemes offered by Govt. of India. Today, STPI is synonymous with excellent Infrastructure and statutory support for the booming IT sector of the country.
  4. Vision Groups on (Information Technology, Biotechnology & StartUp)
    The three independent Vision Groups constituted by the Government of Karnataka on Information Technology, Biotechnology and Startups consist of industry captains, research heads, and academia.
    These Vision Groups act as a think tank of the Government of Karnataka and help the state in formulating various policies and initiatives to foster the technology ecosystem in the state.
    Vision Groups have also been instrumental in connecting the state globally with leading companies, research and academic institutes, and innovation hotspots for collaborations.
  5. MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications
    MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications is India’s leading event curator in the field of frontier technologies.
